Reg Porter Round 2: The Freewheeling

Meet at Boots, Uckfield at 9am as usual.  Both rides to make their way to Harvey’s Lane between the former Bentley Wildfowl and Motor Museum and The Broyle for Round 2 of the Annual Reg Porter Trophy – the Freewheeling to start at roughly 10am.  Competitors to be given a numbered marker peg and a slight push from the start at the brow of the hill.  Then, strictly with no pedalling, see how far down the hill (heading south) and up the other side they can get before coming to a stop.  They are then to stick their peg in the grass verge in line with where their front hub/axle was when they ceased moving forward and to move aside to allow other road users to come through.  Once all the pegs have been collected so results can be calculated it is but a short walk to Dan Street’s house where refreshments will be provided.
