Annual Dinner and Awards Evening 2019
The 2019 Lewes Wanderers Annual Dinner and Awards was held on the 23rd November at the Kings Head in East Hoathly East Sussex. Nearly sixty members, VP’s friends and family enjoyed a buffet dinner and awards presentation. Appreciative thanks were given for those who helped run the 24 competitive cycling events in 2019, for leading the club runs and to the committee for their continued efforts in running the club. Post-dinner entertainment was provided by Dan Bigham and Joscelin Lowden, talking about some of their racing success for 2019. in particularly their bronze medal win for GB at the world championships in the mixed team time trial. This was followed by a Q&A session, chaired by Brett Davis. A collection was made in memory of club stalwart, Horry Hemsley who recently passed away. Many thanks to the staff at the Kings Head and to Emma and Neal Gearing and Christine Lowden, for helping to make it such a pleasant evening.
